Deep Meaning · English
In this profound declaration, Sri Krishna dissolves the boundaries between the sacred act and the Divine Reality. By identifying Himself as every element of the Vedic sacrifice—the ritual (kratu), the herbs (aushadham), the mantra, the clarified butter (ajyam), and even the fire (agnih)—He is teaching Arjuna that the apparent duality between the performer, the action, and the outcome is an illusion of the mind. Everything that sustains life and spiritual progress is not merely a tool for worship, but a manifestation of the Lord Himself. This is the essence of Advaita-bhakti: seeing the world not as separate from God, but as the pulsating energy of the Divine. When one recognizes that the offering, the offerer, and the fire are all manifestations of the One Consciousness, the ego that claims ownership of 'my' action vanishes. The sacrifice is no longer a chore performed to gain merit, but a meditative act of merging the individual self into the Infinite. It transforms every mundane action of life into a holy ritual of self-surrender.
Krishna reveals that in the eyes of the enlightened, the totality of the sacrificial act is not distinct from the Divinity that pervades all existence.

This establishes the ontological foundation, where Krishna declares that everything in the universe is strung on Him like pearls on a thread.
This verse reinforces the same non-dual vision, stating that the act of offering, the offering itself, and the fire are all Brahman.
