Deep Meaning · English
In this verse, Bhagavan Krishna reveals the internal state of the uttama-bhakta, the devotee whose very existence is an offering to the Divine. 'Mach-chittā' and 'mad-gata-prāṇā' signify a radical shift in consciousness: the practitioner no longer views their mind and vital breath as private possessions but as instruments moving solely within the sphere of the Infinite. This is not a passive withdrawal from the world, but a dynamic, joyous participation in divine reality, where the practitioner finds their entire being sustained by the Presence. By 'bodhayantaḥ parasparam'—enlightening one another—the devotees create a sacred resonance field (satsang). They do not merely discuss philosophy; they illuminate each other’s hearts by reflecting the glory of the Divine. This continuous communion turns existence into a perpetual festival of devotion. The twin emotions of 'tuṣhyanti' (satisfaction) and 'ramanti' (delight) capture the journey from inner peace to active, ecstatic engagement with the Divine essence, illustrating that true spiritual progress is a transition from the dry pursuit of duty to the nectar of divine love.
True surrender is found when the devotee's internal life and external discourse are so saturated with the Divine that joy becomes an involuntary, continuous state of being.
