यत्र योगेश्वरः कृष्णो यत्र पार्थो धनुर्धरः। तत्र श्रीर्विजयो भूतिर्ध्रुवा नीतिर्मतिर्मम।।18.78।

Wherever Krishna, the Lord of Yoga, is; and wherever Arjuna, the wielder of the bow, is; there is prosperity, victory, happiness, and a firm policy; this is my conviction.

Deep Meaning · English

In this pivotal moment, Krishna reveals the nature of His grace and the mechanism of divine vision. When He speaks of being 'prasannena' (pleased), it signifies that the Cosmic Form is not merely a display of power, but an intimate gift bestowed upon a devotee who has surrendered his ego. The term 'atma-yogāt' is profound; it suggests that God reveals His infinite nature through His own internal divine power (Yogamaya), which transcends the limitations of sensory perception. This is the ultimate synthesis of Advaita and Bhakti: the seeker, through devotion, is granted the ability to see the unity of the entire universe within the Divine, even while retaining the individual distinction necessary for a relationship with the Beloved. Furthermore, by noting that no one else has seen this, Krishna highlights the rarity of this 'darshan.' It is an invitation for Arjuna to recognize his own unique position in the divine play. The vision of 'tejo-maya' (resplendent) and 'anantam' (infinite) reminds us that the mundane world we perceive is merely a fragmented projection of a primordial, singular reality. Krishna is showing Arjuna that the Divine is not distant or hidden; it is the very fabric of existence, waiting for the eye of wisdom to be opened by grace.

The vision of the Cosmic Form is a grace-filled awakening where the devotee realizes that the entire infinite universe is a manifestation of the Divine’s singular, resplendent essence.
