Deep Meaning · English

In this verse, Krishna reveals the culmination of spiritual wisdom, moving beyond the impersonal understanding of the Divine to the realization of Purushottama—the Supreme Person who transcends both the perishable (kshara) world of matter and the imperishable (akshara) realm of the soul. To be 'asammudha' (undeluded) is to shatter the illusion of separation between the individual self and the Absolute. It signifies a profound shift where the intellect stops categorizing the world as 'other' and instead recognizes the underlying divinity animating all existence. This is not merely an intellectual assent to a theology; it is the dissolution of the ego that previously clouded one's vision. Once the seeker perceives this Supreme Person, the natural outflow is 'sarva-bhāvena bhajati'—worship with one's whole being. This devotion is not a ritualistic act performed with only a portion of one's life; it is an all-encompassing surrender where every breath, action, and thought is offered to the Divine. The seeker becomes a 'sarva-vid' (all-knower) because, having known the Source of all things, they have essentially known everything. In this state, the duality between the knower, the known, and the act of knowing vanishes, leaving only the singular, ecstatic vibration of love for the Divine present in all beings.

True knowledge of the Supreme Person is not a cold, objective observation, but a total surrender of the heart that finds the Divine in every facet of existence.
