Deep Meaning · English

In this verse, Bhagavan Krishna reveals the ultimate destination of the meditative path, transitioning from mere mental discipline to the realization of non-dual union. The term 'nirvana-paramam' signifies a peace that is not merely the absence of conflict, but the absolute cessation of the egoic construct. When the yogi constantly integrates their awareness—'yunjan evam'—the mind ceases its restless oscillations, becoming like a steady flame in a windless place. By aligning the individual consciousness with the Divine, the practitioner realizes that the peace they seek is not a future acquisition but an inherent state that abides within the Supreme Being (Mat-sanstham).

True inner peace is the result of shifting one's core identity from the transient, fluctuating mind to the eternal, unchanging substratum of the Divine.
